WDRV is a radio station in Chicago, Illinois. It Operates on a frequency of 97.1 MHz (FM Channel 246), with an effective radiated power of 8.4 kW, as authorized by the Federal Communications Commission . Programs classic hits. Began in 1957? as classical WNIB (NIB=Northern Illinois Broadcasting, original owner); switched to current call and format April 2, 2001. Current personalities include Steve Downes (mornings), Bob Stroud (middays), Phil Manicki (afternoons), and Christine Moran (evenings). Simulcast by WWDV, Zion, IL (96.9 MHz, FM channel 245) since January 1, 2003. Call letters stand for "The DRiVe".
