The Valois Dynasty succeeded the Capetian Dynasty as rulers of France from 1328-1589 C.E. They were descendants of Charles of Valois, the third son of King Philip III of France.

The Bourbon Dynasty followed.

Valois is also the name of a cafeteria in Hyde Park, Chicago, which has been open since 1921.
