Todd Rundgren

Todd Rundgren (born June 22, 1948) is a musician, songwriter and record producer born in Upper Darby, a suburb of Philadelphia.

He is the founder of the bands Nazz and Utopia, and has produced albums for Meat Loaf, Patti Smith, The Tubes, XTC, Badfinger, Jim Steinman, Grand Funk Railroad, Ian and Sylvia and many others.

During the years 1978-1985, he produced four studio albums in a row done 100% without the use of other musicians, including one without instruments.
