The main Actors are Sally Potter and Pablo Veron each of them is playing themselfes in a semi-autobiographical way. Sally sees Pablo an stage dancing a tango show and afterwards they met and there, a deal between starts to take shaper where Pablo, the dancer and tango teacher becomes a movie star while Sally, the movie writer and director learns to dance tango, which are two things which happened in realitly as well. Of course as real relationships, this relationship comes across some problem in the course of tango...

Besides a very interesting story which tighty is developed by the tango itself, the movies features a great sound track and not seen before dance e.g. to Astor Piazzolla's Libertango.
