Process Physics

Process Physics is a new 'theory of everything' that proposes that reality emerges from the self-organising criticality of noise and is more fundemental than either general relativity or quantum mechanics. It is different from other theories as it uses the argument that reality emerges from a process rather than from particles and their interaction through fields and is related more to information theory.

The basic feature Reginald Cahill, the founder of process physics, has enivisaged in building his model is «away from geometry» and «back to logic» worldview. He praises Heraclitus, Greek philosopher from Ephesus, as the first process physicist (of course, the term «physicist» must be understood in non-technical language). The entire process physics worldview rests on a few premises, among which the derivative and secondary nature of space and matter is central. The fundamental set of concepts is non-geometric, semantic information system which, being submitted to iterative processes generates geometry (described as a merging of ge-bits, geometry bits similar to ordinary bits of information science or qubits of quantum interferometry)- hence, «space». «Matter» is in proces physics the result of topological defects of «space», identified with quantum foam. So, Cahill has turned traditional conceptual framework upside down: in contradistinction to ordinary, now more than 300 years old physics, which begins with space (and time, although both concepts are unified in geometrized Einsteinian Relativity), process physics starts from abstract notions of semantic field (and stochastic neural networks) , Goedel's theorem and embedded logic axioms- giving in the proces of iteration not only «old fundaments» of space and matter, but also other specific physical ideas and theories that model and describe reality: entropy, quantum mechanics, the arrow of time etc.

At the heart of process physics is the pre-geometric modeling of space from self-referential noise. The model displays self-organisation with the emergence of 3-space and time. The model is entirely relational and does not arise within any geometrical background structure. As the model uses noise as its driving force then the relational fractal structure is dynamic and evolves over time. The model can also be used to describe space as a quantum foam.

The model predicts the following:

1. Space has a fractal structure at is lowest level but is three dimensional at higher levels

2. Space expands over time (dark energy)

3. Time is a phenomenon of the iteration of the dynamic structure not a geometric model

4. Matter is made of embeded topographical defects in the fractal structure that persist over time

5. Gravity is caused by the net sinking of space into matter, making the space between massive bodies shrink.

6. Inertia is caused by the dynamic relinking of the fractual structure of the topological defects in the prefered direction of travel.

7. Dark matter is a misunderstanding of how gravity works in a non-sperical (ie disk shaped) distribution of matter
