Piano Concerto No. 20 (Mozart)

Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's Piano Concerto No. 20 in D minor K 466 was written in 1785. As was common with his concertos, it is three movements.

  1. Allegro
  2. Romanze
  3. Allegro assai

It is written in a minor key, which is rare for Mozart, since he preferred the happier major keys.

The young Ludwig van Beethoven admired this concerto and kept it in his repertoire. He wrote a set of cadenzas for it that are used today.
