MTX (automobile)

MTX is an automobile that has been made in Czechoslovakia and now in the Czech Republic by MTX R5 sp.o.o of Prague since1969. MTX is short for Metalex. Originally, it was a repair shop for Skoda racers. The first single-seater racer, ""MTX 1-01", appeared in 1970. During the 1980's, Formula Easter cars, buggies) and rally cars were produced. In 1989 - 1990 Skoda Rapid convertible was made in a few copies in cooperation with the German Heinzinger firm. In the 1990's, the company made 2 models: MTX Roadster (based on Skoda Favorit) and MTX Cabrio (based on Skoda Felicia). During the 1990's, a model named MTX Tatra Sport was made in 4 copies. Actually, a beach buggy with a plastic body is offered, based on Hyundai parts .
