List of Ontario Colleges of Applied Arts and Technology

Ontario's Colleges of Applied Arts and Technology are essentially community colleges, in that they do not focus on degree studies, but offer diploma programs (which may be either two or three years in length) and certificate programs (which run one year or less). Some courses of study lead to official certification in skilled trades that are regulated by professional associations. A few do offer some degree programs, either in conjuncton with a university or on their own (if so, they are instead referred to as an Institute of Technology and Advanced Learning).

Most of these colleges were founded in 1967, when the provincial government felt a strong need for this level of study.

They are listed below by their short name, along with the city where their main campus is located. Institutes are marked with a *.
