List of Co-Princes of Andorra

This is a list of Co-Princes of Andorra.

The Principality of Andorra, in the Pyrenees Mountains on the French-Spanish border, was established in 1278 by the Treaty of Joint Suzerainty between the Spanish Bishop of Urgel and the French Count of Foix, whose descendants inherited Navarre in 1479 and then France in 1589. The Princely rights have been continued under the executive heads of the various French Republics.

(*)In 1933, serious political and social unrest led to a Dutch adventurer, Boris, Graaf van Oranje en Baron van Skossyref seizing control of Andorra and declaring himself King Boris I. He proceeded to declare war on the Bishop of Urgel. Boris I was arrested, and the French military occupied Andorra and dismissed the local government placing the Viguiers, who are delegates of the princes, in day-to-day control.
