Cádiz (province)

Cádiz is a province of southern Spain, in the southwestern part of the autonomous community of Andalusia. It is bordered by the provinces of Huelva, Sevilla, and Málaga;, as well as the British possession of Gibraltar and the Mediterranean Sea. Its area is 7,442 km².

Its capital is Cádiz;. Its population is 1,140,793 (2002), of whom about one-ninth live in the capital, and its population density is 153.29/km². It contains 44 municipalities. See List of municipalities in Cádiz.
